Geldings

Since our mares take time off from riding for “maternity leave”, we need a few geldings.

Quietude Mount McKinley

(Crispin of Quietude x Quietude Sugar Plum)
Foaled 2003, 15.1 hh  red chestnut

McKinley is one of the tallest of the Quietude-bred horses at 15.1 hh. Although big and substantial he moves with ease. He is a confident trail horse with a big forward walk and fluid trot. He loves the trail and is quite willing to go out alone or with a group. In a group he's content to lead, be in the middle or bring up the rear.

Over Memorial Day weekend we attended the Lambert Morgan Reunion at his birthplace, The Quietude Stud, and logged over 17 hours in 5 days. My 13 y/o son rode him on one of the rides and we crossed the Greenbrier River, walked, trotted and cantered on the trail.

He goes in a three-piece snaffle with light contact or a loose rein and he's been ridden in both English and Western tack. We feel he will make an excellent dressage mount, endurance horse or all-around pleasure horse. He is ready for his lifetime partner.

Quietude Isaac

(Crawford x Quietude Sally Brook)
Foaled 1998, 14.1 hh  dark chestnut

Isaac inherited his sire’s sound mind and willing attitude. He is a pleasure to ride and we’ve taken him to a few local shows but mostly he’s used for trail riding by youth and adults. He’s confident, capable and content to do whatever is asked of him.

Isaac has been sold to Barbara Martin of Maryland
